Nearly a year after our original wedding date we’re finally going for it. Insert any appropriate aphorism here; “the third time’s a charm” or “everything happens for a reason” both of which happen to be true. It’s hard however to find reason in the events of this last year that has undeniably affected all of us. For Ali and I, it’s all the more reason to step into this new normal and commit to a way forward. Life as we know it has been put on hold long enough. Time either moves forward it stops all together. We’re choosing the former and we hope you all will be able to come embrace the next chapter with us. And so exactly two years from the date of our engagement weekend we’re bringing it full circle, engagement rings at one sandbar, wedding rings at another.
Although they may have met in California, Ali’s favorite place in the world is tucked into the crooked elbow of Cape Cod; the continental opposite of San Francisco. It didn’t take long for Nick to notice the overflow of joy that enveloped Ali every time she visited home. It was obvious to him, that there on her favorite shore, in-between the swelling Atlantic tides lay a sandbar that only existed for a few hours each day but would be home to the moment he asked her for eternity.
